Metamorphosis of Dreams
Metamorphosis of Dreams is a series of photo based digital artworks that imaginatively explores the gap between unfulfilled dreams and reality of an elder. Her portraits are reinterpreted in both digital and analog processes. It is also an exploration about the nature and transformation of identity. Questioning and talking about Maria’s past life and dream is a driving force towards more intimacy, imagination, and questions. The whole process of the project is also an emotional metamorphosis for me, especially in today’s world of swift and abundant human connections. As Maria and I become closer, the perspectives of digital and analog also intertwined harmoniously.
